The two MagDI magnets held between finger and thumb

Hi Sarah,

The magnets are the part everyone wants to understand first, so here are the questions we hear most, answered plainly.

How big are they? Around four centimetres, and the first one goes down easily with a glass of water.

Will you feel them inside you? Not at all. They sit quietly in your gut doing their job.

Do they hurt? They don't. You're asleep when they're placed, and they're actually what makes the procedure so gentle, holding two parts of your gut together so your body forms the join itself.

Do they stay in you forever? Only for two to three weeks. Once the join has formed, they leave naturally when you go to the toilet, and a simple X-ray confirms they've gone.

If anything about the magnets is still on your mind, reply and ask.
